We are really enjoying our class on the spiritual gifts. We did a little bit of work yesterday on identity.
Revelation 2:17 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.
Names are pretty important to our identity. In the bible, they are more closely related to a person’s character. It is pretty exciting to think that Jesus will be giving us new names when we see him.
