Jesus is the LAMP!

LAMP Ministries is our official name as of January 1, 2024! LAMP is a product of two congregations combining our efforts for Jesus in the McGregor, TX area. You might still find Active Love Church and Victory Chapel references in some places, but we are trying to get those update.

LAMP Ministries loves to do events in the community (parks) but our main location is 605 N 3rd Street. We hope to post a daily encouraging word or bible verse on our blog and social media so like (Facebook), follow (Instagram), or subscribe (blog) to stay up to date. As we record events and sermons, we will be uploading them as well (YouTube).

Staff

LAMP Ministries is blessed to have a number of ordained ministers attending our church. We enjoy teachings from all of them at various times and Nate Moehring is our regular teaching pastor.

Why LAMP Ministries?

LAMP Ministries seeks to shine the light of Jesus everywhere we go!
Our mission is to worship God, show compassion in Christ’s love, equip the saints, and reach the lost.

Our theme verse is Revelation 21:23 “The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.” Jesus is the lamp! We want to shine the light of Jesus wherever we go.

Mission Statement

“Our mission is to worship God, show compassion in Christ’s love, equip the saints, and reach the lost.”

It has 4 focus points:

Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. ’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Vision Statement

LAMP Ministries desires to create a missional community to REDEEM the world:

  • REach other cities through small groups, missions, and multiplication,
  • DEmonstrate God’s love to everyone in McGregor,
  • Expect members to continually grow and learn,
  • Meet needs in the community in order to create opportunities to present Jesus.

LAMP Ministries is a member of the McGregor Ministerial Alliance. We believe it is important to show unity within the Christian denominations on salvation issues and that all the churches in McGregor should have the same mission to teach the people in the McGregor area about the love of God and the sacrifice of his son Jesus.
